In October 2016, beyondblue launched their report Workplace Bullying in Australia. The report highlights that almost 50 per cent of Australian employees will experience some form of workplace bullying during their working lives. In the last six months between 5-7% of Australians have been bullied in the workplace.

The aim of the research was to investigate the nature of workplace bullying, and identify strategies that could be developed and implemented to prevent and manage workplace bullying. The report provided 18 recommendations to manage and prevent workplace bullying. The recommendations included the areas of organisational culture factors, leadership, training, communication, policies and procedures, system implementation and continuous improvement.
